A mansion is located just to the south of East Pluckley's parish Church of St. Nicholas, about three-quarters of a mile away. Little is know about this estate except that it was broken up c.1929. The mansion at Surrenden Dering is depicted on the Ordnance Survey historic maps suggesting it was in use from at least c.1861 to c.1929.
