Evaluation trenches on site of extension to rear of 11 King George's Villas, Worth, near Romano-British temple site revealed a pit and post hole with Iron Age sherds plus further Middle Iron Age and Belgic sherds and some flints in topsoil. Suggested that this supports idea of major Iron Age and Romano-British site in vicinity (1)

Further excavations at 8 King George Villas, Marshlands and Greenacres Bungalows revealed further Mid-Iron Age pits with pottery. (2)

Excavations at 11 and 12 King George Villas in 2000 found four features; three pits and a post hole. A total of 127 sherds of pottery were found, much of it flint tempered and so broadly datable to the Iron Age. Some Late Iron Age/early Roman material was also found. (3)
