An Icehouse has been identified in Castle Park to the south of Chilham. This monument is marked on the Ordnance 1st to 3rd edition maps of c.1861-1922 possibly indicating it was in use at this time. The structure is visible on the 4th edition Ordnance Survey map of c.1931-1940 but it is not marked suggesting it may have fallen out of use.
