A Late Middle Acheulian handaxe and a Gallo-Belic 'E' type old stater, found in a garden at Borough Green, where brought to Maidstone Museum in 1964 for identification. NGR 613572. (1) Found by Mr Fellows in his garden (centred TQ 61265717) AT "Sandway", Maidstone road, Borough Green. Mr Fellows, who could not be contacted, retains the axe and coin. (2) TQ 613572. One gold Gallo-Belgic E coin from Borough Green, found in 1964. Present location unknown. (3) TQ 613572 Findspot of a Lower Palaeolithic handaxe in Head geology. (4-5) The handaxe has a separate record.
