Ightham, field to SE of Rose Wood: surface-finds of several Palaeolithic handaxes in late 19th century (1, 2), three of them in collection at Maidstone Museum recorded by Roe in the 1960s (3) and a fourth illustrated by Spurrell (1), listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (4)
