Ightham, Highfield and Islefield: numerous surface finds in late 19th century of Palaeolithic handaxes (1, 2, 3), at least 14 still extant in various museum collections and recorded by Roe in the 1960s (4), then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (5)
