Near the source of the Stour at Royton Chapel [TQ 95 SW] near Lenham, an ovate palaeolithic flint implement was found in 1885. (1) Find was recorded by Roe in the 1960s (2), then listed in the Southern Rivers Project in the 1990s (3).
