A line of seven Second World War bomb craters is visible on aerial photographs of 1941 as hollows to the west of St Marys Bay. These features were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the South East RCZAS NMP project.

The line of bomb craters is centred at TR 0841 2773, and extends for a total of approximately 300m south-east to north-west. The craters measure from three to six metres in diameter, and are spaced from 22-87m apart. The bomb craters were not visible in any form by the time of the vertical aerial photograph of 1946 (1-2).
