A Second World War road block is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The road block is located on the southern end of the A259 (T) road bridge crossing over the Royal Military Canal and is centred at TR 1578 3467. The road block is defined by a linear arrangement of removable road blocks, possibly in a hedgehog or hairpin arrangement. (1)
