The pillbox is centred at TR 0937 2810, and measures approximately five metres across. It appears to be a Type 24 pillbox. The pillbox is in close proximity to other Second World War defensive features, such as another Type 24 pillbox to the north-east (Monument Number 1535487), and a road block to the south-east (Monument Number 1535576).

By the time of vertical aerial photographs of 1983; the pillbox appears to have been removed. This area has subsequently been developed for housing with the expansion of St Marys Bay, and the site of the former pillbox is now in the back garden of a house on the southern side of Brookside (1-3).
