A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs, to the west of the Dymchurch Redoubt (Monument Number 464040) and has been mapped as part of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey NMP. The crater is centred at TR 1271 3193 and was the result of enemy bombing on this part of the Kent coastline. The crater was subsequently levelled after the war. (1)
