An irregular hexagonal WWII pillbox measuring 10.3m by 7.5m is sitauted on the beach north of Deal. It was first visible in February 1941 [1], mapped from military aerial photographs taken in June 1942 [2] and is no longer apparent by April 1950 [4].
Two lengths of fencing are visible to either side of the pillbox, extending from the beach scaffolding (MWX43276) inland for around 20m. The fencing was first visible and mapped from aerial photographs taken in June 1942 [2] and was gone by February 1946 [3].
