Second World War military base comprising 23 small buildings (measuring 3.5m in length) forming a semi-circle around two larger buildings. Beyond this concentration of structures there are several areas of disturbance and mounds of material, some of which could be part of the dismantling of the site or caused by bomb damage.
The site is only visible on aerial photographs taken in April 1946 [1] and is not present on any later series. The site is located on the North Foreland golf course and modern aerial photography shows that the footprint of the largest structure is still visible and looks to be incorporated into the golf course [2]. This military base is gone by April 1950 [3].
A transcription of the features recorded from aerial photography exists within a GIS layer held by this HER [4].
