Summary

Tudor and Georgian tile, brick, church and chimney-pot fragments have all been found within the clay on the foreshore. Seen as indicative of the site of a building. Possibly part of Gore End village and perhaps destroyed by cliff fall or sea erosion. (Thought to be evidence of TR 26 NE 1003).

There is a site some 30 ft to the west of TR 26 NE 121 where the clay is littered with Tudor and Georgian tile, brick, church and chimney-pot fragments. This would seem to be the more or less in situ remains of a building possibly belonging to the Gore End village destroyed by cliff fall or sea erosion. (1).
