Possible Roman pottery kiln sites at Milfordhope are listed as follows:-
TQ 85698669 (should be at TQ 85696986?) - unlocated sites in this area. Surface observation and limited salvage excavation by N. Hume 1945-54 (authority 11). Large `briquettage' floor associated with a fragment of clay slab; probable stacking-pad and clay debris: Material and records of site location cannot now be traced.
Milfordhope sites A and B, unlocated (the 2 pits examined by Hume - authority). References to the site can be found in (1-16). Additional bibliography (17-20). For site in context with others in inter-tidal zone, see (21). Site photographs (22-24).
