Monument details

HER Number:TQ 86 NE 158
Type of record:Monument
Name:Roman pottery, possible kiln?, Lower Halstow

Summary

Roman pottery/building debris was previously found c.200m from Lower Halstow Church. Originally thought to be associated with a Roman building west of the church (see TQ 86 NE 13). It is now uncertain whether there was ever any building material, and the find was in fact a Roman pot apparently found around c.1900. May be associated with a kiln.
