Summary
Previously identified Romano-British burnt soil horizons, sighted on the edge of Bishop Saltings during a survey in 2004. At this time it was apparent that erosion had destroyed in situ deposits, although a vast amount of Romano-British pottery was noted on the foreshore.

Minor Romano-British burnt soil horizons in salting edge. (1) Seen in 2004: continued erosion has destroyed in situ deposits, although a vast amount of Romano-British pottery lies on the immediate foreshore. (2)
