Summary

A possible defensive obstruction was identified by Hoo Fort, Hoo Island, during a 2004 coastal survey. The remains comprised rows of vertical stakes and stone boulders apparently positioned between them.

Approximately 5m wide, 6 rows of vertical stakes just in front on the fort in alignment. Continues on from TQ 77 SE 1025. Large stones in between the rows of stakes. Possibly an anti-landing, defensive structure. (1)
