Mentioned in Isle of Grain Historic Area Assessment conducted by English Heritage in 2014. "A congregational chapel opened in 1826 on an existing roadway leading south from the village, thereafter known as Chapel Lane" (TQ 87 NE 150). This larger congregational chapel was built in 1895, when the former chapel was converted to use a s a Sunday School (1).

Visible on Google Earth streetview. The present building features the date 1895 and 'Bethel Congregational Chapel' on the front elevation, and is currently the Grain Library, Community and Learning Centre.
