St Edith's Hall, formerly the Village Hall and Club Room, was used as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Hospital run by Kent/192 VAD during World War 1. The Village Hall was used between Oct 1914 and Dec 1918 and the Club Room between 1916 and Dec 1918. The Hall is still in use.
