Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) Hospital run by Kent/58 VAD - used between Oct 1914 and Mar 1919. The Mission Hall (Chapel of the Good Shepherd) is still in use. It is shown on the 1897-1900, 1907-23, 1929-52 and current O/S maps.
