Swanton House, Elwick Road, a Military Hospital set up for war pensioners in March 1919. The building is still in use - now Swanton House Centre.

A Heritage and Townscape assessment and desk-based assessment were conducted in 2020 prior to planned demolition and redevelopment. (2-3).
