Martyrs Field: Observed by f. Bennett-Goldney in 1901: A very rich Roman cremation burial, was found in the Martyrs Field area, which contained many bronze objects including a jug, a 'libation bowl', armlets and cosmetic instruments. A number of pottery vessels ewere recovered also.
