This is incorrectly recorded by G. Andrews (Ref. 943) as being on the site of 16 Watling Street but it appears after subsequent research to be in fact the curving ditch recorded at the rear of 16 Rose Lane, about 400 metres to the north-east.

This is incorrectly recorded by G. Andrews Ref. (943) as being on the site of 16 Watling Street but it appears after subsequent research to be in fact the curving ditch recorded at the rear of 16 Rose Lane, about 400 metres to the north-east, which is entered under Level 2 Mon Rec: 1486. However the confusion appears to have been caused by the excavation code being 16 Watling Street.
