Between 2005 and 2007 Canterbury Archaeological trust carried out a watching brief. Two of the ditches found on the site possibly formed part of a trackway, potentially leading to the site of Craythorne Manor. One of the pits found on the site contained a large quantity of finds including medieval pottery, animal bones, fish bones and several fish hooks. The pottery dated to between AD 1225 and 1400. (1)
