Between 2005 and 2007 Canterbury Archaeological trust carried out a watching brief. Two substantial ragstone walls with potential floor layers were found to the rear of 27, 29 and 31 High Street. A demolition deposit sealed the site. It is thought that these remains formed part of the Priory of St John. (1)
