Between 2005 and 2007 Canterbury Archaeological trust carried out a watching brief. Four concrete blocks were found set into the ground with girders originally set into the blocks. The girders had been cut off level with the blocks upper surfaces. The blocks were arranged in a chequerboard pattern across the road, c.1m apart. (1)
