Type: Loose courtyard with working agricultural buildings on two sides

Mentioned in Isle of Grain Historic Area Assessment conducted by English Heritage in 2014. Described as part of a group of farmslocated in the marshes on the Isle of Grain. Descroibed as Cane Marsh Farm, "which seems to have been reestablished as Red House Farm in the 19th century".

"By the 18th century, if not earlier, much of the farming was done by tennants for absent owners… In the 1840s only two properties, White House Farm and Whitehall Farm, were farmed by their owners" . In this case the farm was owened by the Dean and Chapter of Rochester (3).
