A Late Bronze Age founder's hoard consisting of 181 weapons and implements, was found in January, 1893 on a farm at Ebbs Fleet, near Minster. Now in the British Museum. (1,2) On exhibition in the Royal Museum, Canterbury, are four looped and socketed axes, three spearheads and a winged axe ex Copeland Collection, Accession numbers RM 2059-2066. The group is carded "from the Ebbsfleet hoard" but there is nothing in the Accessions Book to support this. Mr H.L.S Pearse of Ebbsfleet Farm (the only farm at Ebbsfleet) who has lived there all his life, could offer no further information. (3) Part of the Bronze Age hoard from Minster, Thanet, is in the British Museum. Acc No BM 93, 4-26. (4,5) Additional reference (6-10)
