A small scale excavation K83 was carried out in a garden at the top of the east side of the Westbrook valley (1), at a point where two Bronze Age scrapers had been found on the surface in 2009 during a casual visit. A small pointed handaxe was found, missing the pointed tip but otherwise in fresh condition. It was identified as Type E, following Wymer's (1968) classification scheme (2).
