During a watching brief in 2007 a small section of medieval wall foundation was seen abutting Peverell's Gate at Dover Castle. It is probable that it represents part of the lost curtain wall running towards the site of the Harcourt Tower. (location accurate to the nearest 1m based on available information)

During a watching brief in 2007 a small section of medieval wall foundation was seen abutting Peverell's Gate at Dover Castle. It is probable that it represents part of the lost curtain wall running towards the site of the Harcourt Tower. (1)
