Roman coins and pottery were found in 1904 between Ramsgate harbour and Dumpton Stairs [TR 395666]. The remains of a "Roman wall" are now washed away. (1) No further information on this site was gained during fieldwork. None of the finds could be traced in the local museums. (2) additional reference (3-4)
