An Anglo-Saxon glass cup in Dover Museum was found 14 ft deep opposite the Grand Shaft (TR 34 SW 210 at TR 31604090), below Shakespeare Cliff. (1) The cup is no longer in Dover Museum. It was probably lost when the museum was partly destroyed during the last war. The date and circumstances of discovery are not known and no further information has been found to give more accurate siting. (2) (TR 3040) Anglo-Saxon glass cup, Dover. At a time unknown, a glass cup was discovered 14 feet deep beneath Shakespeare Cliff, Dover. (3) additional reference (4-5)
