A crouched burial, probably Romano-British, (based on examination of skeleton) was found in 1939 while excavating for an air raid shelter trench behind Broadlees Bottom Married Quarters, to the east of Dover Castle, in Guston Parish. (1) The air raid shelter is at TR 33024226. (2) Burial suggested as earlier, poss Bronze Age by Dover Museum (3)
