Summary

The remains of a large pit or chalk quarry on the foreshore. The feature was 10m in diameter, and had been heavily eroded. No finds were recorded but it was dated to the late Iron Age or early Roiman period based on its context.

TR 293 700 Belgic or Roman quarry. This is a large pit or chalk quarry 10 m in diameter, sectioned by erosion. There were no finds (1,2). For site in context with others in inter-tidal zone, see (3) and site photograph (4).
