On exhibition at the Royal Museum, Canterbury, Acc. No. RM 202, is an ovate handaxe, 6 inches in length, 4 inches greatest width, found at Reculver. It was donated by Lt. Col. Copeland in 1897 but no other details of the find are known (1). Another sub-ovate handaxe found at Reculver in 1868 is also in the museum collection, acc. no. 9193 (2).
