A Saxon green glass beaker, now in Canterbury Museum, and other Saxon objects have been found at Reculver (1). On exhibition in Maidstone Museum is a porosphaera necklace found in the sea off Reculver, ex Saxon graves. (Acc. No. 42 1949, obtained from the Ashmolean Museum). In Herne Bay Museum is exhibited an embossed Saxon burial urn from Reculver, formerly possessed by A. Colland of Reculver, repaired and presented by the late Dr. Armstrong Bowes. The glass beaker cannot be traced at the Royal Museum, Canterbury, but an A/S bead from Reculver is exhibited (Acc. No. RM 2625) (2). No further information could be gained about the exact provenance or date of finding of the above objects (3). Additional references (4-7).
