Roman pottery and tiles were previously found in the upper soil layers on the cliff top at Gore End Bay. A similar site was also reportedly found 30m to the east.

TR 28796984. Roman pottery sherds were found in cliff top overburden and a similar site was found 30m to the east. (1). Possibly site mentioned in context with other IA/RB site in inter-tidal zone, see (2).
