On exhibition in Herne Bay Museum is a cut-down and rubbed-down Ro. coin reused as a Saxon weight. It was found in 1960 on waste ground behind 59 Mickleburgh Hill, Herne Bay, at TR 18586793, by schoolchildren at play. (a) The findspot was confirmed by Master Nicholas Ward of Oakdale Road, Herne Bay (1). Additional references (2,3).
