By February 1941 a roadblock (Military Grid reference R 605780) had been prepared at the bridge by which Vauxhall Road crosses the River Great Stour; a ‘trough [was] cut across road.’ It is just possible that this was the site of a roadblock listed (as No.64) in late 1940.
