If you do not understand anything on this page please contact us.

This roadblock was based on a small farm bridge linking Deanery Farm, north of the railway between Canterbury and Ashford, with Parish Road, on the south side. The bridge was prepared for demolition by late November 1941. It may have been among the many bridge demolitions in the area which were prepared that year, supplementing a kind of ‘stop line’ along the River Stour locally.
