TR 024704: Leysdown, deserted medieval village, listed. (1) (TR 036706) Leysdown on Sea (NAT) (2) Research by A.M. Everitt has found nothing to prove a villge ever existed at Leysdown. The isolated position of the Church of St Clement (TR 07 SW 3) does not prove the existence of a deserted village site. (3) Leysdown is not listed in the Domesday Gazetteer. (4)
