A line of concrete anti-tank pimples on the boundary of Prince's Golf Links, between the road and the beach. Some have been moved and some buried but many still in original position.

The full extent of the anti-tank cubes have been mapped from military aerial photographs as part of the SE Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey. This WWII feature extends along the beach at Sandwich Bay for almost 3km and was intended to impede the movement of enemy forces inland. Integrated amongst the anti-tank cubes are three military structures, visible at 635661E 159422N, 635689E 159331N, 635707E 159271N in front of the defended building (AMIE number 1428993). The military buildings are L-shaped in plan and measure 6.7m, 5.6m and 5.5m in length.

The cubes were first visible in 1941 and were mapped from aerial photographs taken in February 1941 [1], May 1942 [4]. They are still visible by August 1947 [2], but have been removed by April 1950 [3].
