During the Second World War a pillbox was built south of Teston. It was constructed as part of the GHQ line that ran across southern England and in Kent along the Medway. Between the railway and the playground is a roughly pentagonal mound, with traces of concrete visible (March 2018)

During the Second World War a pillbox was built south of Teston. It was constructed as part of the GHQ line that ran across southern England and in Kent along the Medway. (1)
