Taken from the report:
"Determination of the position and line of the new security fence has been confirmed with only a minor alteration in the location of the fence. It has now been concluded that the fence and fence posts can be positioned without risk of damaging or disturbing the remaining gabions. The possible extent of the gabions has been determined, and the line does appear to snake each side of the park / campus boundary. Sections of the row appear to be missing, and others appear to be damaged, but the path of the gabions can be traced for over 100m on the Khyber Road section and an additional 27m on the Radio Mast section. English Heritage has requested a more thorough evaluation and recording of the gabions be completed. Preservation and protection would best be achieved by re-burying the gabions and reforming and extending the existing ridge."
