Summary
Mutilated remains of two circular mounds. From their shape and size they are possibly Saxon barrows, although their position in a valley makes that identification doubtful.

[TQ 58417080 & TQ 58427079] Tumuli [O.E.]. (1) On Green Street Green, on the edge of an old disused quarry, there are the mutilated remains of two small circular mounds. The westermost is the better preserved and measures about 6.0 m. in diameter by 0.4 m. in height. Around the south and west sides there are the traces of a ditch. The centre shows signs of an old excavation. The other mound has been extensively mutilated, is ill-defined, and has a maximum height of about 0.2 m. It is no longer surveyable. In size and appearance these features resemble Saxon grave-mounds but their topographical position (in a valley) and proximity to an old quarry render their exact nature doubtful. (2) No change. (3)
