TQ 954493: The Moat, Charing listed in the County checklist for Kent - December 1979. (1) TQ 95374923. The remains of a moat in the vicinity of The Moat House (not an antiquity). Only the western arm and the associated fish pond survive (see illustration card). (2) The moat was almost completely intact in 1936 surrounding the as then named The Moat (see illustration card) but subsquent housing development has almost completely destroyed it. (3) Listed as a moated site. (4)
