The following text is from the original listed building designation:
HEVER HEVER 1. 5280 Hever Road (North Side) Brocas Manor TQ 44 SE 49/520 II 2. Victorian front of 2 storeys, 3 windows, with half-octagonal ended left extension. High pitched tiled roof with rebuilt chimney. Tile hung 1st floor, red brick ground floor with stone dressings. C19 casements, 2 canted bays and gabled porch. This front conceals extensive mediaeval house of 3 adjoining halls, all with stout timbers, probably late C14, C15 and early C16. All have collar-purlin roofs and crown posts, 2 of them carved.
