2. Mid C19 building in Tudor style. High pitched tiled roof. Coursed freestone with parapet.2 storeys, 2 windows, with 1-storey, 1-window left extension. Projecting, 1-storey gabled centrepiece has chimney breast behind crowned by 3 tall brick stacks. Similar gabled treatment in left section and to porch at right. Stone mullioned windows under square hoodmoulds.

Description from record TQ 54 SW 85:
Built in 1840 at the private entrance to Penshurst Place and is similar in style to Tapners and Alders. It is a two storey with a single storey front ans north end projection. The walls are of coursed ashlar stone with stone mulliones windows under square hood moulds, a parapet at the eaves and up to the gables. The bay window has a battlemented flat roof. The porch is gabled with an arch over the door. The plain tile roof has a decorated barge board to rear gable. The chimneys are of brick and stone and are hexagonal in shape. The windows have rectangular, leaded lights in metal frames with stone surrounds. The doors are of vertical boards.(1)
