1. 5280 PENSHURST PENSHURST Fordcombe Road (West Side)
Star House, including Boutique (Formerly listed as building approximately 55 yds to north east of The Birches and on West side of road) TQ 5243 23/808 10.9.54.

2. At one time an inn. Dated 1610. C19 additions and restoration. To Left: 2 storeys and gable attic window. Projecting chimney at side with stone base and coupled Tudor stacks. Ground Floor: Stone plinth with brick above. Square projecting bay window with diamond panes and mullions and transoms with tiled hood over. Second Floor: Half-timbered framed structure with plaster infilling. Square projecting diamond paned bay window with mullions and transoms supported on carved and ornamental brackets. 2 small sets of diamond paned lights either side. Above: Over-sailing gable end with exposed moulded tie beam supported on carved wooden brackets. Small attic window with shingles above in gable end. In Centre: 2 storeys with tiled roof brought down over door (modern restored door with carved head piece). To Right: 1-storey shop with projecting hood in front supported on timber posts (modern). Bricked paving in front of shop. Listing NGR: TQ5250143570 (1)
